I tossed that idea out when the rebels first ran Assad out, no one bit on it then.
If I were Israel, I wouldn't "resettle" so much as just bus them all up then dump them just inside Syria's border.

I go into the historical issue only because it’s not valid, and I believe truth is important. The Palestinians are the Jews who converted to Christianity, and later (for the most part) Islam. We call them Arabs, but they’re not from the peninsula and they didn’t arrive in the conquest.

No, that’s not true
The Jews of Toledo opened the gates of the city to invading Arab army (while the Christians of the city were at mass) because they believed life under Muslim rule was better.
And from their perspective, it wasn’t the wrong call. Jews enjoyed a privileged and protected position in the Muslim world through the Middle Ages and into the modern period. It’s only at the end of the 19th century with the rise of Zionism that you see Jewish and Muslim conflict. And it’s specifically because of the fight for land in what is now Israel.
