I remember posted that this was personal and based on the bodycam footage it definitely looked personal they were holding the guy while another guy punched him and then the excessive use of pepper spray.

that's not always as easy as it sounds.

Sometimes instinct takes over and you want to cover yourself to protect from being beat.....or you want to wipe your eyes when pepper sprayed. If shot you'd much rather apply pressure to slow the bleeding than be cuffed and bleed out while the LEOs watch you waiting for the paramedics.

We should be better at this than we are.

Training can go out the window if all members of the team are inexperienced

You don't know shite about what happened prior to all of this selective body cam footage.

Memphis government should burn, all of it. The people need to hold these frickers accountable.

The cops were fired and charged with murder. What else are you looking for?

Tyre was resisting. They have a real knack for taking a bad situation and making it way worse.

There it is. Those five dudes are tough guys, living in tough place and doing a tough job. And they are either tragically unqualified - technique and personally - or they know the guy and have a grudge.

I see nothing in the video that reeks of anything other than what is an extremely excessive but relatively COMMONPLACE scenario if one chooses not to totally cooperate with a cop that has 'the look'. I.e., superiority attitude.

Sorry for the guy, heard he was a UPS driver. And his Mom and family. That whole group would like a do-over. Tragic, but these fatal confrontations will get a lot worse. For obvious reasons.

Nah these were not necessarily green cops. Street Crimes Unit....why would they be worried about someone involved in " reckless driving " which could be swerving or changing lanes without signalling.

Was it the part where he’s cuffed and being held up (because he can’t stand on his own) while a dude is teeing off on his face that led you to this conclusion?

I don't think he was resisting when the cops stood him up and the other guy was using him as a heavy bag. Carry on with your narrative though

WOW. A bunch of pussies holding him while another guy tees off. Disgusting

Yeah, especially this one porky motherfricker already winded and can't stand up but keeps waiting and stumbling around the other officers to get that one sucker punch in.

That's chickenshit.

Remember when these events used to be blamed on white cops policing minority neighborhoods and we needed to go back to neighborhood policing. Well looks like that didn’t help.
