Maybe they need tranquilizer darts for this type of sutuation.
And what do you think makes up a tranquilizer dart?

How about stuff like ketamine like is being claimed killed the suspect in Denver. Or a number of other chemicals/compounds.

quote:

a dose of tranquilizer solution that is either sedative, comatosing[2] or paralytic, which is injected into the target upon impact and will temporarily impair the target's physical function to a level that allows it to be approached and handled in an unresisting and thus safe manner.
Sooo, you and others suggest giving a suspect high on an unknown substance another substance to impair their physical function. What could possibly go wrong other than toxic side effect, coma, CNS shutdown, heart attack/arrhythmia, liver/kidney damage, breathing paralysis, ... ? Looks like instead of budget cuts the cops will need tons of additional funding for tons of additional training on how, what, when for multiple delivery devices and how to resuscitate suspects.

The real question is:
How can someone watch this body cam footage and claim racism???

No doubt the officers could have handled the situation better, but I don’t see any reason why this instance is being looked at as a symbol of racial injustice by the left.

I’ve never been a cop, so I can’t begin to know what you guys go through. That being said I wish they could have talked through this some more. Hard to rationalize with someone on the shite, but I hate to have seen this entire thing play out the way it did. No one won. Someone died and others are ruined.

Resist arrest.......pay the consequences. They can take a bullet or they can take a dart.

Resist arrest
this is part of the problem. in order to conscientiously resist arrest, you have to be in your right mind. i.e. not high. if you're high, it's a totally different response from leo and it's justified. if you've ever worked in a mental institution, you know that when people are high, their adrenaline is through the roof and they can do some superhuman things. also, they have no inhibitions. ever seen the videos of people on bath salts? well, the cops have and they know that if they don't subdue those people, they could go on a killing spree and not even know what they're doing. no one can say what the cops prevented by stopping him. he already had pointed a gun at a pregnant woman. this reaction is totally unreasonable

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you didn't see the released vid. Anyone who watches that and denies that Floyd was in a horrible state of drug induced panic and a beyond bizarre state of mind as well as physically going down hill is not being honest. Or desperate to defend some weird predetermined position. And I'm predisposed to not trust the cops. The poor guy needed immediate medical aid, like some sort of tranquilizer that cops were unable to provide. But in his weakened condition, falling and lying down he also was fast losing life and strength. And he knew it. Calling out or his mother.

I know, I know he did it too himself. But he was still human. Likely because he had gotten hold of all that counterfeit cash and purchased every mind altering, strong drug he could find. People thinking drug usage is a joke and just recreation should all see what it can do to a human by watching that. And then dumber from dumb and dumber kept his knee on a dying man's head in a terrible show of power IMO. Even bystanders knew Floyd was dying or already dead and no longer represented any threat. A lifetime of drugs, crime, resistance and a seriously weakened physical condition meets with arresting cops. Likely a doctor on he scene with meds could have prevented his death at that time but what are the odds he would have not did it again.

I just watched the videos. George Floyd was easily talking non-stop and un-labored the whole time the officer had his knee on this neck. There is zero percent chance this had the force necessary to harm him much less kill him. Just like the autopsy says he likely died of the combined effect of heart disease, drug overdose and stress of being arrested.

No, the police didn't only arrest him. The police cuffed him and sat with their knee on his neck until he died. You don't have to shoot someone to contribute to their death, and your actions don't have to be the sole cause of the death for you to be culpable.

Even if his health was compromised by intoxication if the actions you engaged in were excessive and contributed to death, you're liable.

can you prove the knee killed Floyd?

Floyd begged to lie down on the pavement...

stating he couldn't breathe...

If you recall, very early on, the media said the cop's hand was in his pocket as if his body language was saying 'I don't care about this animal"

but that proved to be false, bad journalism...

he was wearing black gloves

Is this the same guy who said he couldn’t breathe pre-knee?

In Current Year, the thugs have learned to immediately scream "ya'll killin me", "I can't breathe", "ya'll racists"......

It's a reflex action drilled into their heads, so no small wonder the Cops might not put as much stock into the cries of someone about to go to jail, ESPECIALLY when "crying wolf" has become page one of the playbook.

It's really said because he had a long, full life ahead of him filled with even more assaults on pregnant women.

If you’ve never seen overdosing then google it.
They’re pretty much dead during overdose.

I’ve had to interact with many many criminals that exemplified this exact same behavior during arrest. Although it’s hard to justify the officer kneeling on his back/neck for as long as he did, I’m starting to feel more and more like these officers were simply trying to calm his arse down. I don’t think the officers’ actions were intentionally malicious in any way.

What's the recommended method of restraint? Seems like it would be hard to achieve without holding him down with your full weight, but I suppose the knee would've ideally been on his back instead of neck

So this was all over a fricking crack head. Lol, frick the MSM.

And what do these people want to happen here? Not many people like social workers or police officers are dosing fentanyl on the daily. They even ask him if hes on something because he is clearly acting like a lunatic.

As someone that’s been arrested, when the police arrest you, you get in the car.

The thing is, he’d be alive today if he simply got in the car.

No, he'd probably STILL be dead, but it would be at the hands of a black person.
