And should be. Cows are not stupid. And even the dumbest mammals, koalas and armadillos, certainly rank well above basically brainless insects on that scale.

This does not take into account breeds of dogs. A border collie is a lot smarter than a pig. An Afghan hound is the mental retard of dogs.

Besides pigs these are all pretty regularly consumed. Most of St. Landry Parish considers the opening day of squirrel season a work/school holiday.

And a few of the others may not be consumed in the West but are eaten in other cultures.
