Can you imagine the horror of living in a country where powerful government agencies are weaponized to spy on and/or ruin citizens? Oh snap!

Protests like this will be a thing of the past in Hong Kong as mainland China tightens its grip. Let's be real, a sustainable free Hong Kong is an illusion.

Facial recognition software that mainland communist WILL use to make certain individuals' lives hell when this is all said and done. Those wearing the masks are smart, those that aren't dgaf.

When are gun owning Americans going to gather en mass and take their guns they so love to brag about to the Southern border and put a stop to the Illegal Immigrant invasion that has been going on for decades?
Time after time we try to approach our differences peacefully and legally. Time after time your side cheats to get your way as you belittle us. You tell me where this will end one day - as you continue to marginalize us.

The Chinese are THAT pissed off about a simple extradition treaty with the mainland.
A good conservative looks at both the history and context, not just us vs them.
BBC NEWS World Asia Chinese Extradition Bill
quote:
What is the extradition plan?
The government of Carrie Lam has proposed amendments to the extradition laws that would allow extradition requests from authorities in mainland China, Taiwan and Macau for suspects accused of criminal wrongdoing such as murder and rape.
The requests would be decided on a case-by-case basis.
The move came after a 19-year-old Hong Kong man allegedly murdered his 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend while they were holidaying in Taiwan together in February last year.
The man fled to Hong Kong and could not be extradited to Taiwan because the two do not have an extradition treaty.
Hong Kong has entered into extradition agreements with 20 countries, including the UK and the US, but an agreement with China has never been reached.
Why are people angry about it?
Hong Kong was a British colony from 1841 until sovereignty was returned to China in 1997.
It is now part of China under a "one country, two systems" principle, which ensures that it keeps its own judicial independence, its own legislature and economic system.

I think the issue is that nobody wants to confront the REAL reason why these illegal immigrants exist.
I really doesn't matter what the Mexican President promised Trump. He really doesnt control his whole country. The cartels have most of the political class in their pockets.
These immigrants need to form an army and defeat the their governments. Instead they cross our borders.

Anybody who actually believed "One country, two systems" would hold things static for 50 years was delusional.

Below are images of people that don't care about their countries sovereignty:

So is Hong Kong effectively it's own city state? Because their protesting on the grounds that their shouldn't have to expatriate. But Hong Kong has deals with other countries to expatriate, so it's more than just the act itself.
They believe China will use it as a tool to punish political enemies and business interests. However it's a mixed bag since it creates a vaccum for international crime.
