Just wondering: If a woman went to a surgeon and told him she wanted him to remove a healthy arm or leg, how many doctors would do it?

Her body, her choice. What legit reason would there be for a doctor to say no to her request?

If she’s waiting until the third trimester, her body gonna deliver that baby, dead or alive. Absolutely no reason to go in and kill it before it comes out.

If they said no, do you know how many women would be cutting off their own limbs in back allies? It would be a travesty.

Here's what pisses me off about that argument...besides the whole killing an innocent life thing; If it is truly just her choice, then why is the rest of society responsible for paying for it? It's "her choice", yet we have to pay for it's healthcare, "education", food, housing....

And it is unchristian to deprive her choice.

How many women go to a doctor and have them put plastic in their chest for mental illness about what looks better?

Well, the problem with that is the Placenta is there to separate the baby from the mother to prevent illness. So the baby receives its own flow of blood from the mother that goes through the placenta, and then into the umbilical cord of the baby...It filters. But MUH BODY

Look up transabled. It will sicken you, and there are doctors that oblige to their requests.

What if... It’s a female baby?

Except it's not the mother's body that gets mutilated during an abortion. The tissue removed from the mom has a completely different DNA signature from the mom.

It's science.

Oh good, does that also mean she takes full financial responsibility if she has the baby? That may change things

On the flip side, if everyone wants to stop abortion altogether, prepare to pay for it and the welfare for those who can't afford it.

Can't have it both ways.

None. Doctors already reduce women's tits on demand so what's an arm or a leg?

I was making a logical argument. I wasn't talking pragmatically.

Of course what you say is correct, but I'm just saying from a logical point, they are full of shite.

Are you really comparing a cosmetic procedure to abortion?

Ah fair.

Yea that's one thing I don't hear discussed much. I totally get the stance of pro-choice, but many of the same folks claim women have babies to collect the welfare.

We have to be honest that having all pro-life policies will also lead to more welfare.

Agreed. Welfare reform is long past-due.

The "her body" argument is NOT that the fetus is part of her body. The argument is that she gets to decide whether another organism will ride around in her body for nine months.
