And I’ll gladly take Trump to task after the negotiations if he comes away with a bad deal. But to castigate Trump tonight before negotiations have even started? Where is the logic in that? It screams either (A) panic or (B) political agenda.

How about we do something that people seem to have forgotten is even possible and be patient while this thing goes through negotiations and reserve judgement until it’s done?

I love how page 1 of this thread starts with you guys swinging your dicks around and by page 6 you're hugging it out and giving each other pep talks. Granted, they're extremely awkward pep talks.

That's good advice for people who agree and disagree with our current path.

Absolutely the same. But some here are getting their talking points from fricking Iran.

I’m not bitching about him not bombing Iran into oblivion.

I’m trying to figure out what the victory is being declared by Leavitt.

What is that?

and that now Iran is going to be super powerful.

Well that would be a stupid take. Even if the regime manages to hold power it will take Iran a decade or two to rebuild what we took from them.

They’ve been building that military infrastructure for decades and we wiped out 90% of it in a month

It’s less about both being true at the same time and more about every decision made in this ordeal being terrible.

This never should have happened, and nothing worthwhile will come of it.

As if anyone gave a shite about their frigates to begin with.

It’s their proxy networks, drone/missile programs, and of course their nuclear weapons program that matter to us—and all of that will be resumed/rebuilt with the help of Russia and China in far less than a decade.

It’s super simple. Take whatever Trump does and bitch he should have done the opposite. Then mix in a little “Trump is on his death bed because we haven’t seen him in 10 minutes” with some calls for the 25th amendment and poof you’re a good little democrat.

There is no logic involved.

It is simply

It's simple.

He starts a war, we expect him to win the motherfricking war.

But as far as "bombing them back to oblivion"...those of us with actual functioning brain cells understand that after winning the war, the American taxpayer will be paying to rebuild all the shite that Trump blew up. THAT'S why I don't want them "bombed back to oblivion". A lot of people on this board are too fricking stupid to grasp that they would be paying to rebuild it all, if you really want a US friendly regime.

I will never understand why people start these types of threads.

You are essentially asking trained liars, many of whom think a man can give birth, and kids are sex objects, to think logically and explain how they interpret simple daily narratives.

You will not get an honest answer from these people. These same people hate you and want you dead. You think they care about truth or logic?

What were the objectives laid out from the beginning?

What does it mean to “win the motherfricking war” to you? You’re wanting him to kill more people?

Trump (needlessly) put himself into the no-win situation. He either follows through on his threat, or he’s seen as TACO-ing. Iran called his blufff, so he was forced into the latter, which, is the better outcome. Still not good though as our president looks smaller, weaker, and more irrational as a result.

This is the problem. Iran being able to force the US to negotiate is a massive win for them. We didn’t negotiate with Japan to end the war. Iran being able to… indicates they still have power despite Trump’s claim they have been defeated.

That isn’t to say a peaceful resolution isn’t the best thing. But you shouldn’t start a war hoping for a negotiated settlement. If we’ve been pushed to that—huge signal of weakness.
