No they're not.
The "middle ground" was struck with the banning of automatic weapons, explosives, etc.
And I'd argue that's way beyond "middle ground."

I feel like the point had been missed. I don’t give a damn if people want to purchase a semi-auto firearm. Personally I don’t think I need one.
What I am trying to say is our elected officials right and left are gonna try and use this as leverage to try and get legislation passed.

I also find it ironic that often (not accusing the OP) but gun banners say "no one needs a semiautomatic" also say "you can't defend yourself against the Army".

After the Las Vegas shooting, Dems demanded we ban Bump Stocks, Repubs really didn't put up a fight on that issue because if full autos are regulated why shouldnt a device that makes a gun fire similar to one, the fricking NRA even said maybe we should look at the laws around these devices!!
That was the gun regulation win. The Dems, Repubs, and the NRA were all on board. Just write a simple clean law and pass it.
Know what they did? They dusted off the 90s AR ban and tried to pass it! The fricking dems were too stupid to take an easy win and get something done.

Whole purpose of the 2nd was to defend people from the Army (or a despotic King like they had in England).
Problem is that ship sailed long ago. Our AR's aren't gonna do much vs. F-16's, smart bombs, Abrams tanks and cruise missiles.
If the NWO really wants to take us down they will despite what rifles or handguns are legal. That's why voting is more important these days, imo.

I can tell you that if the Republican establishment buckles and compromises with this in order to get Democrats on board with anything they wanna pass, they will never win another election. The base will desert them.

I also want to add the: "I like to hunt", "I am a hunter". This doesn't qualify for shite half the hunters I know do not even know their state gun laws, much less federal or how the Constitution even benefit them. It is no badge of credibility in fact it makes me question you even more as if telling me you hunt automatically qualifies you as some 2A expert aligned with the same principles as me and others on this board.
