Sure, but the coordination to continuously repeat that process successfully doesn't seem worth it. You're going to risk your business for a couple tanks of free gas?

Do it enough times, over the course of a day, a gallon or two at a time ... it adds up.

They have their camel car. They have a couple of guys who move the camel car around during the course of the day, until it's filled, a couple of gallons at a time ... which most people never notice.

Then they siphon the camel car into a drum tank and go back and refill the camel car all over again.

Now here's the crazy part.

They can black market the stolen gas straight out of the drums for cash or, get this, they put the camel car gas back in their tanks and resell it all over again.

Gas is low profit, often less than 10 cents on the gallon ... they make their money from snacks, drinks, and lotto. BUT black market gas is pure cash profit.

It's not stupid, it's genius.

I agree an owner usually has too much to lose in most situations for this gimmick. Now do a min wage cashier.

That's a neat story. Not practical given the issues with the screw placement and zero flow shutoff others have brought up. Check your brain at the door when entering this thread, I guess.

Increasing the difficulty like this just makes it seem even more dumb.

Fraud is in their blood.

And I get it. In their native habitat it's a matter of survival.

Nevertheless, it's a real thing and it is every but as prevalent as Somali fraud.

The question is ... why is it not receiving the attention that Somali fraud is receiving?
