Have Admiral (Ret.) McRaven's Anti-Trump Comments Changed Your Opinion of Him?

Although Obama liked to claim he was the one who killed Bin Laden, McRaven gets the credit for leading the unit that pulled the trigger.
Do you still feel this country owes a debt of gratitude for bringing Bin Laden to account for his crimes against this country?
Personally, I take it as a cry for attention that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I also know he went out of his way to pull Delta Force off of the UBL mission solely to give the USN more attention. Had the mission failed, this would have garnered much more attention.
Do you still hold him in high regard?

McRaven lost me when he fell in with that den of witches at UT.

McRaven is a good man, Trump is scum. Glad to see the senior leaders going public.

I don't have enough information to make a truly informed opinion. But on the public temper tantrum alone, I would decisively pull his security clearance as quickly as I could.

He probably just has an opinion of Brennan based upon some ideas of the position that Brennan held. It’s kind of common for that generation.
I don’t hold it against him. It’s just a mistake he’s made in evaluating Brennan’s character. It happens to all of us.

It’s fun to watch how quickly you guys turn on people just because they say what they feel about Donnie.

I think he went overboard.
Had no opinion of him before and this doesn’t improve his position with me. Sounds too shrill to come from purely principled stance.

If he’d confined his remarks to the President, I’d probably agreed with him. Defending the serial liar Brennan as a man of integrity isn’t defensible.

Actually, caused previous questions i had about the obama story to resurface. If there were shenanigans going on it would be easier to cover up with high ranking military officers on board.

I agree with that. He was probably approached by someone he trusted to put out the statement.

I hold him in the same regard I did before. I honor his service. I find his political commentary to be distasteful. It is bad form for retired military officers (regardless as to political affiliation) to enter into these discussions.

Retired Adm. William H. McRaven, head of the Special Operations Command during the 2011 killing of Osama bin Laden, dared the president to pull his security clearance as he had Mr. Brennan’s. “If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken,” Admiral McRaven wrote.
It’s clear that Mr. Brennan’s fierce political and personal attacks rattled the china in the Oval Office. The president essentially has accused Mr. Brennan of lèse majesté — the crime of criticizing the monarch, tantamount to treason. Remarkably, this relic of the days when kings were deemed divine remains on the books in some European monarchies as well as nations like Saudi Arabia, where a critique of the crown is considered terrorism.
(Criticizing the president) is not a crime in the United States. That’s why we fought a revolution against a mad king.
For nine months now, the president has been ranting about the “Deep State.” He sees it as a coterie of present and former leaders of F.B.I. gumshoes and C.I.A. spooks who are out to get him through leaks and lies. There is no deep state in America — at least, there hasn’t been the threat of one since J. Edgar Hoover died in 1972, six weeks before the Watergate break-in. But in the mind of Donald Trump, if any group of retired military and intelligence officers could serve as the shadow cabinet for a silent coup, it’s men like Bill McRaven and Bob Gates. They worked for Obama! (Yes, and Reagan, too.)
