Yeah, the hatred for Christianity is simply because its the dominant religion here in the USA.
It depends, for people who have been socialized with Marxist ideas, it’s intellectual. There’s also probably an element of self loathing too, because they’re attacking the culture that created them.
Jews typically hate Christianity for their own ethno-religious reasons. We’re their bugbear.

Christianity is the foundation of our culture, and while it emerged in the Middle East, we substantially reshaped it to reflect us.
What? Christianity, as described in the scriptures, was not reshaped to reflect us. Our wicked society has twisted Christianity to be what we want it to be.

Europeans transformed Christianities attitudes on war and violence. The most striking example though is Protestantism, which was liberalism applied to the faith.

Yes it is real. The influence of Christianity has waned so much over the past 100 years that finally it is to a point where it is socially acceptable to be open about it.
Faithful Christians should expect hatred and persecution to increase over time because the world hates us, because the world hates Christ.

I’m not saying that there’s no truth to that statement, but I don’t think it’s the full explanation.

its not, its a generalized statement that covers most of it though.
Democrats are materialists, superficial beings.

Ok, I’m not totally following you here, but I think you’re saying Europeans transformed how we view Christianity.

Understanding requires the use of logic. You'll never get "understanding" from a liberal simply because they reject logic and embrace emotion instead.
That's something I've always believed as a lifelong libertarian/conservative Republican. Not so sure it's completely correct now. We became so used to being force fed information by people who were talking in TV voice, acted like they were supposed to but were definitely putting on a mask in front of cameras politicians that now when you are confronted with an actual normal human being willing to talk like one it's very authentic for some people, that's more important than the logic of your argument.
They're looking for a tribal connection. Affirmation.
You get three hours of JD Vance on Joe Rogan and lets see the stack of dollars that can connect anywhere near that with paid actors in a commercial. Good fricking luck.
It's a new world now with X becoming what they always feared.

No, the Bible tells us we don’t turn the other cheek to the vile and wicked who blasphemy God. In fact we are supposed to protect the flock by necessary means from the abominable.

The word of God speaks to the believer reading it.
This is true.

Give 10 people the same verse and you can get 10 different interpretations.
This is not.
It's true that 10 different people may come away with 10 different takeaways, but that doesn't mean that they have 10 different interpretations of the text.
What it means is that depending upon their spiritual maturity and circumstances the Holy Spirit is able to reveal different aspects of the text to different people.
But—and this is the reason why I'm making a distinction here—none of those aspects should contradict each other.
Also, there are many passages about which we simply don't know the full details.
quote:
It not for the preacher to hold and tell you what it means to you.
But it IS for the preacher to hold and tell you what it means TO HIM. And since he's presumably studied more Biblical history and Greek and Hebrew than the average church goer, his should be a valuable perspective.
And giving his perspective to consider in no way precludes the believer from being spoken to individually about the same text.

Feeling persecuted is the new trendy and cool thing to do in America. It's spreading like wildfire.
Maybe it is true when people say that black people start most big trends in America.

And both of us may be incorrect about it, but we can't both be correct.
I get that you think you are correct and I think I am, but there's no way for both of us to be correct about b/c we have conflicting takes.
This nonsense about "your truth" and "my truth" is self-defeating, self-contradictory, and obviously false.
There is THE truth, not "your" truth.
All of that garbage is just post-modern pablum that has to use the Aristotelian rules of logic in order to attempt to refute them.
