That woman was climbing through a window to get where those officers were at. Stupidity or arrogance are two words that come to mind.

Those guys all have dead eyes. Not their first rodeo for any of them.
The video clip with the fire extinguisher getting tossed - first time I’ve seen that.

It was a homicide, yes. But murder no.

I mean WTF was she going to do? Worst case she finds Nancy gets in her face and yells mean things and then they drag her away.

Question...is an officer legally bound to announce something like "freeze or I'll shoot"? Cause it seems like a sniper just took her out with no kind of announcement.

Yeah those guys aren't your typical Trump supporters. Not saying antifa, but definitely anarchist militia type taking advantage of the situation.

The people who Kyle Rittenhouse shot were posing much more of a threat than she was.
So if that cop is excused, no way Kyle shoudn't be.

Wait.
Do you support they legislation introduced in Dallas where it is illegal to shoot someone that is breaking into your home because you don't know what there intentions are?

I thought it was the capitol police officer who killed himself.

The fact the cops were so overwhelmed may have actually lead to her ill-fated choice. They had basically been allowed in and to walk around with seemingly little attempt to get them out. While the officer and possibly other LEOs on the other side of the barricaded door may have seen it as "the line" she apparently saw it as just another hallway to walk down. I think it is clear there would be a doorway or point where the interlopers would have been stopped by any means possible, they were not going to let them walk up and say hi to Pence, etc.
The officer by himself or via orders had decided that door was the line that changed the ROE. I think it is clear she didn't not recognize that. In my mind, she made a poor decision but if the line hadn't been there it seems likely the group would have continued closer and closer to the inner sanctum until the either recognized the line or someone made the same mistake. Right or wrong if I am the one guy at that roadblock with the weight of protecting the VP and the entire legislative branch behind me I may have made the same choice. It is a horrible outcome but it may have prevented an even larger scale tragedy.
This is a classic case of FAFO. When you come to a barricaded door in a building you don't have permission to be in and you climb through a broken out window trying to get past the barricade with armed police right on the other side of task with protecting the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person in the presidential succession line you have a very high chance of having a bad day.

That’s a fine accounting of how life works. It doesn’t really have much to do with whether the shooting is justified or not.

While it looks like the officer has made the correct choice because it looks like Babbit was not taking 'no' for an answer, I can imagine that the experience is putting some weight on the officer's mind. Hopefully, he is being given a proper amount of time to rest and let his mind recover from the experience.

I saw a mob pull a Capitol Police Officer down some steps and beat him with sticks, fists, flag poles, etc. What word do you want to use for that?

Why does it matter, she broke the law and she was jumping into the speakers lobby. That was the warning shot.she put the safety of pence and pelosi in harms way.

I would call it criminal and shows that Trump supporters are not patriots nor are they proper Christians. It is disgusting and an example of desperate fools willing to do anything to feel right.
