Has a Democrat POTUS ever ENDED a recession by being elected and enacting Dem policies?

Presidents that are elected following a major armed conflict do not count because the war ended the recession, not the POTUS and his policies.
Also, how many Dems have CAUSED a recession?
Historical economic pundits chime in.
Go.

FDR had the war and it's manufacturing demands to help him.
Disqualified.

FDR
To be fair, WWII had more to do with that than his social programs

FDR got lucky with the dust bowl

FDR extended the great depression

Dem policies throughout history have never caused a nation to prosper.
A nation usually builds wealth and power through capitalism, and slowly turns socialist over a period of time which weakens it to the point of a revolt/overthrow of government.
Time and time again

FDR’s policies were complete failures. When the British and French started stocking up on American goods, the Depression finally started to abate.

My research shows that some New Deal policies significantly delayed economic recovery by impeding the normal forces of supply and demand, and that the economy would have experienced a robust recovery in the absence of these policies.

Obama did hurt the economy and unemployment. He really hurt manufacturing jobs, and oil and gas jobs. He started a two year recession at least.

I'd love to hear you elaborate on this completely worthless statement.

Was the UCLA professor or the economist he cited the most, Milton Friedman, a Southern idiot?
