But Dora isn't qualified for that either.

A couple of things...
Anyone good running against her?
How did she become the top judge, being so new on the court?
She's not a "judge" as you think.
She's an elected official who:
is the presiding officer on the Commissioners Court. As the main governing body of Harris County, the Commissioners Court plays a critical role that is part administrative, part legislative, and part judicial. Its many responsibilities include adopting a budget; setting tax rates; calling for bond elections; building and maintaining county infrastructure such as roads and bridges; and overseeing county courthouses, jails, libraries, parks, and the Harris County Flood Control District.
By state law, the County Judge is also the county’s director of emergency management, leading the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM). In addition to her formal duties, Judge Hidalgo plays an important advocacy role for the County.
She gets to play dress up and get on TV and speak in english and spanish and act like shes the Mayor of Houston. She's a count who happens to also be a democrat
She oversteps her line and is all for mail in voting, increased taxes, gun control.
All she SHOULD be doing is setting budgets via tax dollars. Which.. shes a democrat..

You are correct, if fact she had zero government experience before she was elected. Her CV will include social activism and that's about it. That's all you really need to know about 'lockdown lina'. Oh and she gets her political agenda advice via a NYC consulting firm.....icing on the cake!

Wait for it.....she's a VICTIM!
Lt. Gov Patrick attacked her.
RACISM! Telling her where to sit at a funeral is an act of oppression against a woman of color! But Judge Hidalgo stands powerfully and defiantly against the systemic racism of funeral seating that's oppressed POCs for generations.

However, a Harris County official with knowledge of the incident is claiming that it was Patrick who was disrespectful during the funeral. According to the official, Patrick told Hidalgo to "sit down and shut up" two or three times at the funeral, which was not captured in the video.

In an exclusive statement shared Friday, Rafael Lemaitre, spokesperson for Judge Hidalgo, stated, "Out of respect for the family and for the civility our community deserves, Judge Hidalgo will not engage the same type of smear campaigns and cruel political games Dan Patrick—or anyone else—are hoping to engage her in.
"Furthermore, as this video so clearly shows, women—and particularly women of color—in workplaces across America are still living in a time where many still find it appropriate to tell them to 'stay in their place,' regardless of their duty or responsibilities," Lemaitre added. "That's just not something Judge Hidalgo has ever acquiesced to."

I would have bitch slapped her for involving herself in my loved ones funeral for political purposes
I'd probably lose my shite and knife her face up real nice
I like to think I can keep my cool no matter what but that would be tough

That is exactly what happened. Thank god they have done away with straight ticket voting. Also, they put her vs ed emmet at the very last position for which to cast....on purpose???
