Remember that before the evil, white Columbus brought civilization and Christianity to the New World, indigenous people were trading slaves, sacrificing babies and drinking out of their skulls!

A lovely culture lost

The vast majority of people here are indigenous... this isn't 1580.

A tool of identity politics: identity history.

Divisive bull shite.

What Spanish explorers did in South and Central America is orders of magnitude worse than the history of our American Indians and Columbus.

...and it's not like white people invented scalping

buncha warring animals who would've killed off every white European if it weren't for guns being more efficient and powerful than their spears and bows/arrows

1) Pretty sure most people in America are "indigenous".
2) Indian tribes were busy killing other indian tribes prior to the white man arriving.
3) White colonists introduced the horse to this country. An animal often thought to have been "indigenous" with the people of the land.
4) Majority of indians that were killed, died due to disease, not the white man killing off a group of people.

What is the sacred year 0 and day 1?

Because on day 2 a tribe of indigenous peoples were pushed off their land by another tribe who we should consider non-indigenous but are otherwise basically indistinguishable from the true indigenous and possibly extinct or absorbed people.

This is so confusing!

Sounds like the modern day left.

Let's see:

-trading slaves somewhat equates to the modern day sex trade/pedophilia the left loves so much.

-sacrificing babies is still going on thanks to the left and their preference for abortion at all stages including after the baby is born.

-drinking the blood of babies? Well there is that adrenochrome thing.......

So yeah looks like little has changed since before that evil Columbus discovered the new world. No wonder the left wants to tear down his statues and label him a racist. If not for Columbus who would be around to fight the evil that is the left in this country and worldwide?

I always love coming into these threads bashing Native Americans... myself being Native American and all.

Everybody's always so quick to jump on how "savage" we were when the exact same can be said of literally every people ever in history.

Disease brought here by Europeans.

A bigger tribe just moved in. It's a pattern that has been repeated throughout human history and on all continents. The Europeans took venereal diseases back with them. The Columbian Exchange went both ways, but smallpox was certainly more devastating to the native Americans. I have some Cherokee ancestors, but that's neither here nor there. I'm an American.
