If they indict Trump on the leaked charges, the GOPE wants the rules changed within the party that would disqualify him from running on the GOP ticket

If that is the case, then they must plan on forfeiting the general election, because Trump will run third party and destroy any chance they have of winning. And as someone that would rather Desantis, I would not blame Trump for doing that. Even though he's not my preferred candidate, he deserves the chance to get the nomination without being sabotaged by the party.
