The media, liberals, and blacks will never acknowledge that Obama has failed miserably as president. Just wait, as soon as Obama is out of office, somebody like Michael Moore, or Spike Lee, or maybe even a real talent like Spielberg will make a "documentary" about Obama, and they will certainly emphasize how racist white America was obsessed with him becoming a failure. They'll play the quote from Rush Limbaugh about wanting Obama to fail, they'll portray the Tea Party folks as a wannabe lynch mob, and completely "whitewash" Obama's real, and unprecedented, record of failure.
You can bet your bottom dollar that the groups I mentioned above will never tell the truth about the man whom they will never allow to be shown as a failure.

A few democrats here and there (Truman) took stances against them, but that's not the point.
Truman had been a member of the KKK.

What a turd sandwich
Get it right ... it's either "stinkburger" or "meanwich."
Dear Leader has not yet authorized the use of "turd sandwich" ... and, quite honestly, since turds are typically brown ... this could be considered racist.
Sorry.

Truman had been a member of the KKK.
Briefly - but he later became political enemies with the Klan faction - costing him at least one election.
Also, his record would contradict allegations of significant racism - he did not, for example, have to racially integrate the armed forces at the time - but he did, anyway. He was not Catholic himself (JFK being the first Catholic POTUS) - but his wealthy political supporters were (a source of his conflict with the Klan).
His longtime business partner and friend was Jewish.

but the pitching in the league was WAY better in 1961
1961 was an expansion year, which means watered-down pitching staffs. Lots of hitting records are typically set/broken in expansion years.

He was a childhood favorite of mine and I can remember what I was doing when I watched him hit his 715th against Al Downing. But I would bet that most of the white men that were yelling stuff at him back in the 60s and 70s were Democrats. Maybe I should read the whole article has nothing to do with what I just wrote but I am sick of all of this crap - so I won't.

Some people get over personal injustices, and some are like Aaron who just let it fester in their craw.

I agree with you. I am a huge Braves Fan....therefore I hold Hank in very high esteem because of the way he handled the ACTUAL RACISM against him during the record chase.
I am very disappointed.

Damn, I liked Hank, but racist gona racist , I guess.
He had to put up with a lot of shite in his playing days, he had a right to be upset at people in the 60's and 70's. He's old and stuck in the past, his positions are understandable.

And you're a part of this board.
Quit trying to take the splinter out of the eyes of others, when there's a 2x4 in your own.

Seeing the Hank Aaron praise, being a Braves fan, is always tough. You hear about what a great human being he is, meanwhile half of Atlanta has a story about what a jerk he is.
He went through a lot, admittedly. But he's just not a very good person, that I can tell.
