Have you considered that there's a third option?

Theoretically, sure. Pragmatically, no there really isn't. It's the GOP or it's the Dems. People can kick and scream about a third party all they want but all a third party is going to do is split the right leaning voters and hand power to the Democrats.

If you’re pissed about that then you’re pissed about him wanting to remain a viable democracy.

Anecdotally, all my friends (I'm in my 20s) voted for Trump in 2024, and were big into his personality cult.

Myself included,

I'd say around 80% are pissed off. Didn't vote in primaries, and will unlikely vote in the general election for a single republican.

We all feel betrayed, and no amount of "Herp Derp Trump has always wanted to bomb Iran" BS is gonna make us any less pissed.

We are pissed about his devotion to AI, to Data Centers, to H1B and O-1 visas. Not helping with anything he said he would help with for young people, like buying homes etc.

Frick Trump. He's been disloyal to US.

Enjoy being ruled by Democrats.

Please explain why maga is accountable for house and senate races? Also keep in mind the alternative and side you think will win is in favor of illegals, trannies and Trump is bad.

Thanks for admitting this. It’s really not trumps fault then when you sit at home and possibly let the other side win.

Also, democrat turnout for primaries so far are the lowest it’s ever been ….

His policies have screwed everything up for Repubs... MAGA continues to sniff his butt and not complain loudly this is not what we want... No, instaed they turn full neocon... Trump listens to MAGA pressure. It just has not been there because daddy knows best.

The Nirvana fallacy is out of control here. Is Trump and the GOP perfect? Absolutely the hell not. Are they better than the alternative of straight up marxist, communist rule? Absolutely yes. You really wanna sit home and not vote while people like the folks who just elected Mamdani get to decide who should lead us?

Trump also isn’t on the ballot genius so your blame for Trump has no position on congressional seats.

So y’all’s answer is to support the Dims? Trump didn’t give you what you want so the answer is “No Kings” communism? The answer is to pack the Supreme Court with liberal judges to the detriment of the Union? To go all in on Somali fraud? Unchecked illegal immigration?

Y’all sound like a bunch of dumbasses. Be pissed at Trump for unforced errors, but supporting Dims is just stupid.

Go ahead. Shoot yourselves in the other foot!

Neocon is not what I want and will never vote for. Trump has gone full neocon.

I think the optimal scenario would be Democrats take the House in the midterms and do all sorts of insane stuff, which will help the GOP win the Presidency and retake the House and more Senate seats in '28. But losing the Senate in '26 to the Democrats would be a disaster and then you have to spend every day praying that Alito and Thomas can serve on SCOTUS until the 2030's.

O. K.

If Dems. come up with a ton of votes they didn’t have last time (deportation is going to hurt them), and the Republicans don’t show up (can’t see this not happening - the polls suggest Trump is losing no base votes), there is NO WAY Democrats have those kinda gains.

People have a way of forgetting things - the U.S. is out of this Iran conflict in the next month or so. That leaves an easy 6-7 month window to pound far left ideals (trans, etc.) back into the minds of voters.

Again Trump isn’t on the ballot genius. You’re admitting Trump drives more people to the polls than congressional representatives.

The average American is lazy and stupid and will not understand that voting against Trump will mean reopening the border and putting men back in women's sports. We are truly a nation of idiots, and our elected representatives reflec tthat.

Then as I said, enjoy Democrat power and rule. And don't whine a single fricking word when they pack the courts, usher in more socialism, attack the 2nd amendment, allow more illegal immigration, etc. But you have your principles I guess.

Most of us want some form of proto-fascism. Think Englebert Dollfuss or Gabriel D’Annunzio

You fricking boomers always think in binary terms.

Most of us are becoming far-right, not leftist.

I think Dems will end up with 52-53 Senate seats and a 30-40 seat House majority.

Even if this happens, they will spend the next 2 years on an impeachment show, that will ultimately still fail in the senate (2/3 needed to convict). Then it will turn into new propaganda wars against Vance leading up to 2028. That is all they know how to do.
