That's a good point.
I was in a motel earlier this year. Right down the hall there was 8 to 10 of them all in one room.
The motel ended up evicting over noise and the mess they left all over the place.

As much as I hate to say it, many landlords would rather be paid guaranteed govt payments, than worry about if the tenants are going to pay rent.
Especially with evictions for unpaid rent being at an all time high still.
That said.
It's a moral choice on the part of the landlords.

Thx. I feel we shouldn’t be importing. They should go down the welfare roll and anyone of working age receiving SNAP, Medicaid, etc. and unemployed, should be required to fill those spots or lose their aid. If the job is low paying then supplement it. But if Haitians are living on it, they can also.

Can’t really fault the landlords. If market rent for a property is $1,000/month and the government is offering $2,000 guaranteed which one would you take?

Just for me personally. It would really have to depend on the financial situation of my bank account.
If I could manage with what I was getting, I'd rather go the route of housing people from here.
If I really needed the money, yeah. I'd rent it out to them. And then serve them their 10 day notice as soon as I could.
We've got too many people here who can't get into places to live. And that's a sitch that is going to get worse.

Not really. They're not discriminating against them for being white or American. They're renting their properties to the highest bidder, which just happens to be Uncle Sugar. Normal people can't compete with an entity that literally owns money presses.
