It really discourages me for the future of humanity to see people take something like “the rate of approval” and twist it like this.

Bunch of dumb MFrs who can’t understand per capita

Not an alt, just a lurker who saw those job listings this morning and decided to post them in this relevant thread.

Why do you support H1B's taking American jobs is the real question.

They can't find someone to do these jobs from Louisiana? I find that very hard to believe.

How is per capita an effective measure of this when native birth rates have been essentially flat from 2009-present and immigration and been the main driver of our population increase during that time period?

Job Opening Ads

Why do you assume H1B fills, with no LA candidates?

Because it clearly says the job is being filled by alien labor at the top of the job listing?

This is because Dylan does not read at a high school level. He proved this only yesterday.

The lower number is good. But that approval rating should be south of 10% total. Dont need that many h1b foreigners here bringing down wages

You didn't vote for fewer H1Bs overall?

Crowder posted the real H1B numbers with actual sources earlier this week. H1Bs are trending down significantly. Trump is doing what he said he would.

Don't buy into the TDS propaganda.

No.
It is an application for permission to eventually hire alien labor, if US workers are unavailable. But at this stage the position is open .... even to Louisiana folks.

No.
It's a job posting they are required by law to advertise when they are filling the position with alien labor. Also known as a notice of filing. It is a part of the process of them applying for the alien labor's visa. As in, it has already been decided.

Then we have a different understanding. Obviously, if a bunch of qualified Louisiana folks applied, they should light up the DOL phonelines.

I work for a large IT consulting company based in India. They have a pipeline to bring over consultants from India and they pay them less than market wages.

I know, because I work with them.

Do a little reading on a notice of filing for alien labor. Those actually aren't even job postings. They are just notices of intent to fill the positions with alien labor. They obviously fooled you. It's fraud, and they get away with it. There's basically nothing you can do. There is no way on god's green earth you are going to force a major corporation to give you a job it doesn't want to give you. And there are plenty of loopholes that allow them to do whatever they want in filling these roles with H1B's.

Republicans campaign on “America First,” Democrats campaign on “equity,” and both somehow end up serving the same corporate lobbyists importing cheaper labor while experienced American tech workers get laid off.

If Trump was serious about this, H-1Bs would require companies to prove they aren’t replacing existing US workers and pay salaries well above market average. Until then, the outrage is fake and the donor class keeps winning.
