There is, however, a practical way to limit those 16k deaths that you're uninterested in addressing. Gun control.
How do you get all of the illegal pistols off the thugs in Chicago and NOLA?

I've shown you that waiting periods reduce gun violence.
And I showed you it doesn't. The only thing it helps in the slightest way is a small decrease in suicides in the elderly.
Know what leads to suicide more than guns? Alcohol.
Study after study have shown that alcohol exponentially increases the chance of an individual committing suicide.
Why do you want suicidal people to have access to alcohol?

I'm saying that there's no practical way to prevent those 500k deaths en masse.
Uh yeah there is.
Give cigarettes the full auto treatment. Super expensive and you need a special tax stamp to purchase cigs.
Mandate mental health and background checks on all alcohol purchases. Domestic abuse? No alcohol for you. Mental health issues? No alcohol for you.
High speed engine ban. Any engine that can exceed 25mph is banned.
All common sense. All easy to implement. All will save lives.
So.. What was that you said about no practical way to prevent those deaths?

You never did that
bullshite.
Or is this like the time you "never" said that licensing and registering a vehicle are requirements for purchasing one.
Stop being a liar.

Every statement of fact I make, I support with data.
No you don't.
You find some statement that you want to be true, and then you cherry-pick the data that supports it. Usually, it's a chart that you don't understand and can't explain.

quote:So... I have a pack of cigarettes in my tool box in the garage. Bought them 5 years ago. Smoked 1-2. Haven’t touched them since. Are those cigarettes giving me cancer?
Yeah, because cigarettes are in no way a cause of lung cancer.

Other than you, of course

quote:Uhhhh. That’s your argument. If it’s fun feeding it back to you and watching you argue against it.
If you think the only factor playing into crime rates is the strength of various laws.

So do I. I’m a proponent for cutting spending on space activities.
More rocket launches more death.
