A waiting period isn't going to result in fewer guns.

And that still has no impact on illegally owned guns.

Try again.

How do you determine what a weapons' "intended purpose" is?

It's in the definition of the word 'weapon'.

How do you determine if a death is worthy of caring about or not?

I'm genuinely interested in your methodology on choosing "this death is acceptable and this death is not"

Is 36,000 deaths a year too much?

100,000?

150,000?

300,000?

Why are those numbers not shocking to you but 16k is unacceptable?

From your poll, taken "days after the Las Vegas shootings"

Public opinion typically shifts in the aftermath of a traumatic national event such as a mass shooting

Try again you ignorant frick.

Logic?

I know, I know. You lack it.

Let me color it in crayon for you stupid arse:

I want a gun. I now have to wait two weeks to get said gun instead of two days.

End result? I get the gun in two weeks instead of two days because I want the gun.

God damn you're a fricking idiot.

Also, why won't you address my post about correlation?

You seem to be all in for correlation as proof for your positions...

So why are you saying that 16k deaths are more important than 500k deaths?

Why is it that someone who dies via firearm is 31x more important to you as someone who dies from alcohol/tobacco/vehicles/sugar?

Because BamaATL makes all her decisions based solely on emotion.

Which is why all her arguments get blown the frick up day in and day out on here.

She'll ignore it, just like she did my correlation posts after I called her arse out on her suicide and gun correlation posts earlier.

I just really want to understand what makes one life worth more than another. Like how can you objectively be mad at 16k deaths yet not blink an eye at half a million deaths caused by alcohol n tobacco and vehicles.

It reeks of sensationalism and muh feelz. A blind man could see the glaring hypocrisy. It's absolutely mind numbing that one could try to take the moral high ground with such a piss poor argument.

Every statement of fact I make, I support with data.

I've shown you that waiting periods reduce gun violence.

Go on, prove your assertion with data. If you're able.

Or you don't get the gun at all, because two weeks have passed and you don't want it anymore.

Of course not. I'm saying that there's no practical way to prevent those 500k deaths en masse. We can certainly work to limit them, and we do every day.

There is, however, a practical way to limit those 16k deaths that you're uninterested in addressing. Gun control.

That was 2015. You must have missed the posted study from 2017.

It's almost as if as time passes, we learn more and more. Huh.

Uh yeah there is.

Give cigarettes the full auto treatment. Super expensive and you need a special tax stamp to purchase cigs.

Mandate mental health and background checks on all alcohol purchases. Domestic abuse? No alcohol for you. Mental health issues? No alcohol for you.

High speed engine ban. Any engine that can exceed 25mph is banned.

All common sense. All easy to implement. All will save lives.
