You can still be a nice guy while voting, legislating and governing as a wartime conservative.

Ron DeSantis is one such example.

The problem with Cassidy is that he chose to act, not talk, but act as a peacetime conservative.

No bueno.

One of the dumbest things ever posted on this board.

JBE, as a state representative, was and still is ideologically to the left of the black caucus in the statehouse and had one of the most liberal voting records in the the statehouse.

It's for that reason why JBE gaslighting us in selling himself as a moderate blue dog, conservative dixiecrat is one of the biggest, if not the biggest lie ever told in Louisiana history.

Would you vote for Cassidy if it was him vs a Dem?

Also will you vote for Nikki Haley if she is the GOP nominee vs a Dem?

Yes.

Because he would be one less vote for Chuck Schumer as Majority Leader.

Control of the committees is important and necessary to kill bad legislation.

It befuddles me how you don't look at the big picture here and understand the transactionalism here.

I was actually undecided on whether or not to vote for Mitt Romney in 2012 to the very end and ultimately chose not to based on that terrible 3rd debate where he basically agreed with Obama on everything about foreign policy.

I would treat Nikki Haley the same way as she can lose my vote but she can earn it. It all depends on how her campaign goes.

But it's going to be moot as I believe she's going to be wasting her time in 2024, will get no traction at all and will burn a whole lot of money to only place 4-5 in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Ron DeSantis is the best potential 2024 candidate as he unites all the tribes of the GOP and is a great heir to America First conservatism.

For those who have their head up their arse,
I think JBE is a leftist scumbag.
As such, Cassidy being “as conservative “ as JBE implies that he isn’t conservative at all.

I was being facetious.

I didn't call Cassidy a peacetime conservative by accident. I mean what I said with both words.

Cassidy may be a conservative but the problem with him is that he thinks its peacetime when we're actually at war with the globalist left who wants to tear this country down and destroy the America First movement.

I obviously disagree...he isn’t a conservative

but the problem with him is that he thinks its peacetime when we're actually at war with the globalist left who wants to tear this country down and destroy the America First movement.

So he is oblivious to this - I don’t think so. He has simply been exposed revealing his true nature.

So he is a commie ball licker (frick sliding scale conservatism).

As I stated prior:

He is as conservative as JBE.

I believe he knowingly lied through his teeth until he was re-elected. Then he let his true feelings come out.

I believe him to be a lying POS.

I wholly and vehemently disagree with you and the tangible and statistical evidence is not on your side.

frick you for making me defend Bill Cassidy's record compared to a monster like JBE who is a pure leftist control freak of a tyrant.

Full disclosure, I voted for Ralph Abraham in the first round because I knew Rispone fricked it up going negative against Abraham and was going to have problems consolidating the base in the runoff and was not well equipped enough to do it.

I was anyone but JBE.

Anyone who has the best chance against JBE, didn't matter to me who that was between Rispone and Abraham.

Pretty pathetic you can't even agree to disagree with people who are on your side and share the same position about Cassidy's future.

Kennedy won me over during the ACB hearings.

He speaks plainly but powerfully. He's well-spoken without trying. And he's a likable guy.

Wish we had him in Georgia, even before Ossoff / Warnock. (When you combine their names they sound even more like an evil Tolkien warlord.)

I have no issue agreeing to disagree.

I said that Rispone and Abraham were shite candidates...you disagreed.

I said the state level GOP needed to be more hands on or JBE was going to win the election...you disagreed.

I said that we needed to support the welder because Cassidy couldn’t be trusted...you disagreed.

As for Cassidy’s future, what is it? To frick over his constituents until he eventually eases into some shady money on the back end?

Peace out brother. You do you.
