Until 5pm ET. How about that?

Feels like 113 degrees (103 with 39% humidity) there.

NBC and CNN are all over that news as expected

Click bait title:

Oh it's only until 5pm:

I heard today that due to the thunderstorm forecast for Saturday night in DC, the fireworks may be moved to Sunday. They are already scheduled for very late due to heat.

850,000 fireworks aren't going to launch themselves. I'm looking forward to watching this on TV.

If I could stand the heat, I would for sure be there.

I am in Colorado with family this weekend. At least it's 85 degrees with 5% humidity. Much more bearable.

Same. They can't have any due to the threat of fire here unfortunately.

We had the same hot weather during gay month but somehow it wasn’t a problem. Hmmm.

Just checked the DC weather forecast. Saturday night looks better than it did yesterday. They won't move it to Sunday. Launch time for the display is set for 10:30 pm, DC time (9:30 Central).

I don't think it's going to stop people who want to be there.

I listen to a podcaster that drove over the other day.. he lives 3 hours from there and he said that it is very impressive... Said the TV does not do it justice. He went through everything in about 2-1/2 hours and said it was one of the most interesting things he has attended in a while.

I can't wait for him to post his video about his experience which I will post when he posts it to his channel - He said he got in around 20,000 steps on his Garmin watch thing so it's a very big event

Everybody on the east-coast needs to reduce their capitalist A/C usage.

Removing heat from your own house and dumping that heat outside is having a detrimental effect on the community.

The warmth of collectivism is best experienced through collective suffering and also collective starvation.

We might not be ready for that yet, but your kids are gonna love it.

You serious?

If you live in the South, you absolutely must have AC.

Heck, if you've been to the NE below Maine, you still need AC. And all points west to Colorado, same else people will die.

You guys had no problem with shutting down living for Covid which was only a 0.02% chance of killing someone.

In the Southwest including the upper 4 corner states, it's dry enough to have a swamp cooler. Those are as green as it gets and they actually do much better than AC (except in places like Phoenix where all bets are off).

We get it…. You’re a racist anti-American communist. You don’t deserve to breath the same air as free, patriotic Americans
