They arrested her, she spent 2 days in jail with threats of remaining there unless she plead guilty.
They let her go after she had “expressed contrition for her conduct.”
That's right. Did nothing but walk into our capitool building.

In a sentencing memo, federal prosecutors explained how Morgan-Lloyd was inside a hallway of the building for about 10 minutes, did not commit any violence or destroy any property, and did not coordinate or plan her actions beforehand.

For standing inside she was charged with 4 counts. In her plea deal, the prosecution is also requesting that as part of her probation she is unable to purchase a firearm.
She is the first of over 400 people awaiting trial who were charged that had entered the capitol building on Jan. 6th.

Her lawyer is a fricking retard.
Notwithstanding it was not an "insurrection," the fact that some of the people got out of hand does not redound to the actions of someone who was clearly and indisputably "peaceably" in a public space she was allowed access to.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Well, that's one way to destroy the 2nd amendment.

Could have been worse.
She could have been shot in the face by a racist piece of shite fed.

Unfortunately, this is how they will come for "US"... make examples out of those that the can in order to keep "US" in line...

So, granny had criminal intent, Hillary didn’t have criminal intent? Got it.

That's the critical issue. Was she allowed to be in that space at that time? Apparently her attorney thought that the feds could prove that she was not allowed access at that time and that she was with the group that forced their way in to disrupt official proceedings. This must be the issue that led to the guilty plea. Being a "grandmother" has nothing to do with it.
I don't know the true details of her case, and neither does anyone else here. However, if she was just milling around a public space on an authorized tour, no attorney should ever arrange a guilty plea to anything.
EDIT: The article doesn't even identify the "four counts" that she was charged with. We don't know the allegations or the plea, yet somehow, in ignorance of any facts, we are supposed to be outraged.

How do we know the plea involves a misdemeanor? The article doesn't identify the charges or the plea.

OR maybe her attorney told her, “Granny, you’re not guilty of s***, but your white tail may very well get sent to prison by a jury of DC goons, anyways.”

She's a retard. She picked the lawyer and she accepted the plea deal. Their trumped up charges are laughable. She had trespassing and a smart person would plead guilty. The rest is garbage.

If you know the charges, maybe we can have an informed discussion. Unfortunately the Gateway Pundit decided not to tell us the charges or the nature of the plea. They want us to be uninformed and outraged. Maybe we should be outraged. Maybe not.

Maybe scared of a DC jury. Her plea may have been as low as the government would go

Unless she walked on in riot gear with a baton or was breaking stuff, it's trespassing, period. There's nothing else to discuss. Wandering aimlessly on the Capitol like a tourist doesn't make you a terrorist.

I mean this sincerely as possible... frick you and everyone that thinks like you. You will willingly watch this county die because of your stupid tribal political views.
