Their messages were designed to make military members adopt a position whereby orders were presumed to be illegal, rather than the other way around. Every military member is given training on this, Congress knows this. There's simply no reason for them to give the messages they gave, going direct to military members. They are the Congress - if they had issues with the orders being given, they have their own mechanisms to take that up with the Executive. Rest assured, if Republicans did the same thing, Merrick Garland would have already had them in prison.

The military has received no unlawful orders from the Trump administration and no indications have occurred to suggest they ever will.

Muh... we only told them to disobey illegal orders (ignore the implications earlier in the video that some of Trump's orders have been illegal and ignore our refusal to identify any).
Also, if it is only illegal conduct that's bad, then why are Dems threatening ICE/CBP with prosecutions when they get back in power for performing statutory, lawful actions?
