Did he report an equal amount of losses?

$1.4 million in income from gambling

Reminds me of Edwin Edwards and 60 Minutes when asked about returning with a briefcase of money from Las Vegas.

"It wasn't a briefcase...It was a suitcase of money..."

And if he’s worth $4B how does he only have income of $10.3 million?

Could be lots of reasons. If much of his holdings are real estate related, not all of those assets are income producing. Also, he could have losses that offset additional earnings, even from previous years.

Realized income, sure

I’m fairly certain he did better than a 0.3% overall annual return. He can afford a little gambling

I mean our current President was deeply tied to the gambling industry in his professional career. Does that bother you?

Do you need a doctor?

Because, I mean, reaching like that, you HAD to have pulled something pretty bad.

What bothers me is idiots that attempt to make horrible comparisons assuming others are as dim as he.

Building/owning casinos is much different than sitting at a poker table.

Could be winnings from the Cartello Casino from the Kickback table.

This one is easy. He inherited the 4 billion which is probably mostly in real estate and stock. He probably has incredible tax write offs for the stocks and you don’t claim real estate until you sell it.

How did a governor win 1.4 million gambling and there’s not a single video of him doing so or headline?

You would have to wager over 10MM and have solid luck to win that amount of money in a casino.

Pritzker gives some kind of word salad "explanation." Something something about charity

It’s interesting how he is spreading gambling across state and has approved 6 new casinos under watch. Would like to see gambling receipts or is this payoff in form of gambling.
