He also has a female pastor. He's an usher there.

Liberal Episcopalians are some of the most liberal Christians in America. They believe in government solutions for poverty, are pro-choice, pro-gay rights, pro-female priesthood, etc.

This is the church Gorsuch is a member of. Seriously.

How was this not bigger news? Why weren't conservatives up in arms about this? He won't touch Roe or Obergefell. We'll get some Conservative opinions out of him, but he'll become a swing vote - hardly a replacement for Scalia.

Unreal.

The Episcopal church lost its way years ago.

Their main source of revenue now is suing local congregations who try to break away.

Have any of his rulings been a reflection of his religious beliefs? If your answer is no, then who gives a flying fudge what he believes.

What are you whining about? Nobody wants abortion illegal. That will never happen anyway. I have very liberal friends who believe abortions are out of control though. One even said, "You get three abortions, after that you get sterilized." I'm good with that stance.

Woman priest? Is this a problem?

Gay affirming? Great!

I'm pretty sure you are wrong about that.

However, you are probably right about this.

They would be right about this.

I am too and nobody in their right mind would call me a liberal.

You do realize you can be an Episcopalian without being a liberal, don't you?

It is also a Church that doesn't believe in enforcing its viewpoints on its followers.

Yeah, it is. God says both are wrong.

So? He's not on the court to burnish his Christian bona fides.

You go to church where you want to go or where the wifey wants to go?

There's often more than meets the eye. I once dated a preachers daughter and I'd go where she wanted me to go... except that time in her parents bed.

He will go with precedent and the majority. He won't be an activist judge, but he won't be a Scalia, either.

Unreal. I was actually hoping for a dependable Conservative, not another swing vote.

His religious beliefs gives insight into what his values are and which way he will go. Either that, or he doesn't hold tightly to his church's teachings.

Nothing matters. Just whatever.

Exactly. Just gives the allusion to "conservatives" that they got a victory, but in the end nothing will ever change. Muh Supreme Court lol. It's all the same joke.

The deep state has been jockeying for his appointment for years. Gorsuch is a liberal plant within the judiciary!

Exhibit A for the problem with modern-day Christianity.

Roe will never be reversed. Better accept that now

I know. I get it. Same on Obergefell. But, when Evangelicals voted en masse for Trump by saying he would appoint justices who would overturn Roe, it was all just another lie they believed.
