Article three was written to prevent Confederate Military and Politicians from becoming President or Vice President. There is nothing Congress can Constitutionally do. If they were to vote Article 3 ...Congress enters a region never challenged before. The case would go to the Supreme Court. If SCOTUS does their job ....Congress loses and hit number one of the coming multiple challenges against the Biden cluster will have begun. Obama had numerous 0-9 rulings against him. Biden will endure the same.

Why does anyone think the Republican party would even nominate him? Trump would have no shot at winning as a third party candidate.

Well, when they hear a substantial amount of GOP voters saying "where else you going to go?" what do you expect. They are taking the easy path...

How many GOP voters are saying that? From all indications, the vast majority of rank and file Republicans at this point still favor a GOP that resembles Trump. And that's despite 2 solid weeks of calling him an insurrectionist.

I think they WANT that to be the case, so they can go back to the same old same old, but the reality is not that.

Ummm, because 80 or 90% of the people voting in primaries still support him

This is eerily similar to what happened to Julius Caesar. One term as Consul and then the corrupt senate blocks him from coming back and running for another term. He came back with an army anyways.

Trump is too old though and won’t have a standing army so the swamp will win this one.

This will backfire on Mitch. I know he thinks he's getting brownie points with the dems, but they are all stab you in the back people, who don't need your vote anyway.

The majority of the people are never going back. It will be a litmus test for Republican Primary candidates here on out.
The primaries are going to be LIT.
So many people are fed up that this will be a movement beyond the Tea Party.
And this time people are aware of the Uniparty.
That wasn't the case before Trump. Not to the Normies.

You keep not quoting what he did, so I'm assuming it's a keyboard issue. Good luck with that.

Nothing much, just fomenting an insurrection and disgracing this country

The people who sit in those halls deserved every bit of it and more. They're the ones who disgrace this country by looting the treasury for personal gain, fleecing the American taxpayer, sending our kids to die in immoral and unjust wars and spying on us with impunity.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Constitution Party is to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity through the election, at all levels of government, of Constitution Party candidates who will uphold the principles of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the Bill of Rights. It is our goal to limit the federal government to its delegated, enumerated, Constitutional functions.

If they try this, Trump should take it to court (he’ll win) and then run 3rd party. He wouldn’t win, but he’d get more votes than the GOP candidate.

What's the constitutional mechanism to do that?

There isn't one. The only mechanism is to remove someone from office who currently holds office. There is no precedent or statute regarding convicting a person who no longer holds office and hereafter preventing them from holding office again. This issue would go to the SCOTUS immediately.
