The Austrian government has encouraged/strong-armed its citizens to give up their wood burning boilers in place of natural gas boilers under the premise of air pollution from smoke and declining supply of trees to cut down.
I have had several discussions with my Austrian friends on why this will lead to them not having heating in the winter. I will be there at the end of next month. It will be an interesting visit.
