Yeeaaaah that's not 8B in revenue. feel free to read through the rest of the thread.
Where did it say in my title Revenue? I'm just pointing out that the brand lost 8b in value. Oh and all that stuff about it's currency, and the other reasons they mention is mostly bullshite. You know the real reason.

The poster I was going back and forth with referred to an 8B decrease in revenue. Not sure why you linked me an article that doesn't support an 8B decrease in revenue.

Not really. They didn't lose 8B as a consequence of the marketing campaign.

Yeah, I do. Because I've done my homework on them and don't just get my info from a flashy headline.

An Indian friend of mine I met in the Air Force in Elk City, Oklahoma would have a perfect phrase for this 100 words of nothingness from Goodyear.
Joe Darling would call this statement
"Heap big smoke no fire"

I mean, free feel to shower me with knowledge stemming from your experience with goodwill impairment testing. Surely, you must be an expert in the mechanics of ASC350 to dismiss the stated reasons as "bullshite."

I priced tires today. They won’t be Goodyear.

I do not like liberals and can't tolerate being around many...almost everyone I consider a friend is a staunch republican and supporter of Donald Trump...almost everyone in my family is also...the exceptions are a few conservative to moderate democrats who are what southern democrats have always been until Ronald Reagan came along....and I can honestly say that of the staunch Trump supporters I know not a single one is without some SERIOUS issues....most are either addicted to drugs, pain killers mainly, but alcohol also, only one has ever had more money in the bank at any given time to cover his nut for the month and he inherited that money from an Uncle who was a democratic state representative in Texas, many are on some form of public assistance OR working on the government dime, almost all of them have at least one divorce in their history, almost none have a college education, many do not even have a GED, and if there is nothing else wrong with them they suffer from severe emotional issues stemming from childhood issues like horrible divorces or outright neglect and child abuse including sexual abuse.
This rant says more about you, your familial circumstances and your lack of exposure to a wider world than any broad statement about Trump supporters. But thank you for sharing it with the board: now we know that any opinion you offer is based on very limited life experiences.
But I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is important that you should know: if you express this holier than thou attitude around your family and friends, they secretly hate you. Because you are one insufferable prick.

That is a weird reality. A testimony of someone who lives in a trailer park full of white trash. It is a complete 180 from my reality. While I see those types of people around town, I have little to no association with them. I equate them to the inner city blacks who vote 99% democrat. Both likely vote the way they do because they are uninformed simpletons who fall in line with those around them on Election Day.
I am an executive at a pretty large company. We do business in 14 States. For the most part, political talk is avoided in depth while with clients. But every office visit, lunch, or dinner engagement I have with other senior level leaders always has a tacit reference to current events taking place. Every single conversation results in the same unified conclusion. The modern democrat party is way off the rails. Beyond crazy.
It has zero to due with fear of change. Change and adaptation are healthy when utilized for the greater good. What is happening today is nowhere close to that. We see a marxists power grab that will cripple and weaken our nation beyond recovery. We see the push for an authoritative globalized oligarchy. We see censorship and the incremental proposals of more liberties to be eroded away. If we fear anything it is that we will have to water the tree of Liberty with blood (our enemies and our own) to protect our prodigy’s futures as well as our own.

The fact that “All lives matter” is considered a political statement just shows how stupid corporations, media and the left has gotten.

Goodyear has never been the same after the attempted hostile takeover in the 80s. It's been a long, sad, decline for a former American icon. They've been shipping every job they could out of this country for years and now this shite. Hope they go bankrupt.

It took ten minutes to rattle off a post with over 700 words.
Then you put out over a 200 word one just now.
I’m really not convinced how busy you actually are.
Hell I ain't that busy LOL...thats why I do what I do...because it usually only requires about 20 - 30 hours a week. I sold a business in 2007 that was a 90+ hour a week grind...I'll live under a bridge before I ever regularly work those kinds of hours again...I learned that it living to work instead of working to live was fools errand and took a chance, clients seemed to like the idea and here I am. Barring some kind of disease or accident I will continue to do what I have done since 2006 until I reach room temperature...I am basically semi-retired without being on a fixed income. I am very fortunate. It isn't possible for everyone but improving your lot in life is possible if you ain't satisfied with your current situation. I ain't in any manner special, just damned lucky!
