The Jindal criticism here is mostly group think.
That is because a Republican is always better than a Democrat no matter how bad they are.
Once LA figures out how to bury the Democrats for good, like other Southern states, it will truly prosper.

JBE was by far the worst governor in my lifetime, and that is saying something.
Blanco had a run that could rival anyone for that title, thankfully it was only one term.

JBE was a shitty governor. I'm not sure I'm very bullish on Landry either. I guess we'll see.

Her handling of Katrina alone makes her the worst. Textbook example of how not to handle a crisis.

He rivals Blanco for most incompetent. Jindal wasn’t all that bad except for the budget gimmicks.
Both JBE and Blanco handles crises about as bad as you could as a governor. JBE threatened LSU football to get his taxes passed. How despicable!
Jeff Landry will do much better and we probably won’t see another Democratic Governor for the next 30 years. Unfortunately, we might have to deal with a corrupt Nungesser, which may be just as bad as a Democrat.
I cannot name one positive thing JBE has done for our state. Pathetic!

That would require the electorate growing a brain and getting rid of all the democrats that hold statewide/parish office with R’s next to their names.

Jindal isn’t hated for being harmful to the state so much as he was a massive wasted opportunity.
He had the political capital to make some huge positive changes, but instead, his signature “reforms” were just lipstick on a status quo pig.
His ethics reforms were laughable, and did nothing to restrict actual nepotism and corruption, but did get a lot of low level employees in trouble for eating from fruit baskets.
His budget shenanigans were all smoke and mirrors while neglecting any structural changes to create the illusion of balanced budgets without increasing taxation. He mostly relied on using federal disaster funds to plug holes in the budget and increased tuition and fees at public universities to cover cuts in education even if TOPS would cover the tuition increases (leading to a shortfall in TOPS funding under Edwards).
His reform of charity hospitals did arguably reduce costs to the state but at the expense of significantly reduced quality of care and access to emergency services in rural areas. In reality, this reform just took the charity system out of its own pocket and into the LSU umbrella, less a structural reform of how healthcare is administered than a reshuffle of deck chairs on a sinking ship.
His school choice scheme was riddled with problems in its design which resulted in a chunk of it being ruled Unconstitutional. The program we eventually implemented has been…troubled to say the least as most of the charter schools are even worse than the public schools they draw from. Quality of education has only declined.
Basically, Jindal’s reforms were almost exclusively failures or wasted opportunities which did little to improve the state. However, his basic economic and regulatory principles kept the state economy growing, something it absolutely did NOT do under JBE.

Yes it does. It also let's everyone know they are a brainwashed, government-loving moron. Perhaps with a higher ed degree, confirming their moron status.

Landry is cutting deals wit trial lawyers about tort reform. How does that suit the conservatives?
