Glenn Beck: If the elected senate leader doesn’t work out, put in JD Vance

JD is 2nd in line....I believe he outranks the rest.

Beck is usually based re the System. He has contacts that advise him before just blowing smoke. Likely plausible, albeit a radical and necessary response.

By law, the VP is president of the Senate.
Has rarely been an active role, but I assume that’s more a prerogative thing.
Then again, it makes me wonder why an opposing party VP doesn’t simply Bigfoot the Senate majority leader.

Yeah, it’s one of those “we need to dust off the history books” kind of move, like he said about Adams. That’s still precedent though. I doubt it happens, but those are the kind of ground shaking moves that need to be made. Think outside the box. These seniority-based hierarchies are part of the problem. Doesn’t matter what your newly-elected Senator thinks when they have some gravy-spewing lifer telling them how they’re going to vote.

Because the Senate itself doesn't give the VP any powers except as "presiding officer."

VP is the Constitutionally mandated President of the Senate, not Majority Leader. Beck didn’t pay attention to his own know it all Civics lessons.

Wish it was, if JD can take the reigns, then I have no issue with Ghune getting his shot, he said he would allow recess appointments, that’s fine, but make sure you have recessed. If he is gonna be a McConnell, then have JD step in.
That’s all based upon IF. If not, then we need Scott

No idea if plausible...but JD couldn't do any worse than Thune.

Mike Lee called Charlie Kirk with this. Then, Kirk told it to Beck. This isn't a Beck original. Mike Lee should be pretty in the know on the legality of this.

Kamala would have been great leading the Senate. Lots of giggling.
