Given their history of slavery and conquest, we should end Indigenous Peoples Day

Thanks to a left-wing, “woke” political intervention, the second Monday in October has been designated by some as Indigenous Peoples Day. It used to be solely known as Columbus Day, named for the Italian explorer who notified the civilized world of the Western Hemisphere. But because left-wingers hate everything about Western civilization — and people of European descent — the Left has successfully rebranded the holiday.
Yet, given the propensity for slavery, murder, and conquest in Native American history, I am calling for an end to any holiday commemorating such barbarism. After all, years of leftist indoctrination have taught us that any civilization that attacked, enslaved, and conquered people who were not of European descent — as indigenous tribes did for centuries — is not worth honoring or celebrating. As enlightened sophisticates of the 21st century, commemorating such societies is inappropriate.
Given their desire to revise history, people might be surprised to learn that history did not begin in 1492. Long before Columbus set foot in the Western Hemisphere, indigenous people roamed those lands, conquering other indigenous people and thirsting for their land and resources. Students of the Howard Zinn school of thought have valiantly tried to hide these facts, but nevertheless, they're true.

I'd love to, but liberals are too blind and stupid to understand this. Nothing counts unless it's a white man doing it.

The brutality of "indigenous" people towards one another greatly outshines everything that most Western explorers did.
Same story with the tribes in Africa to each other, something that continues to this very day.

Indigenous People were assholes.
If they had even been halfway decent, the Spanish probably would have just enslaved them all instead of killing them. After witnessing the 2nd child sacrifice ritual in a week, Cortes was probably just thinking, "the Hell with this shite."

The native Americans living in the Indian territories were, after all, the last people to give up their African American slaves. Waiting over a year past the ratification of the 13th amendment to free their slaves.
They were, of course, freed after the northern slaves were freed following the ending of slavery in the US south.

The conquerors got conquered.
The Europeans were more advanced and better at conquering than the indigenous tribes.
They also spreaded all kinds of sickness which was the ultimate result of their demise.

Most of these diseases were Asian and African in origin.

Why can’t we acknowledge that maybe people in general were awful in that time period? The natives did human sacrifice and scalped each other for thousands of years. But hey they built some dirt hills so culture and all. The Europeans were filthy and mostly murders hellbent on conquest.
Regardless, we are where we are now and it’s pointless to look back and critique anybody.
