The stupidity is that this woman decided it was okay to do this.
I’m all for freedom but it you are infected quarantine for two weeks and resume your life. There’s no reason not to do so.

I can understand the need for caution around the vulnerable, but asymptomatic transmission is virtually nonexistent, and statistically impossible in an outdoor setting.

I downvoted and will admit to it. There is absolutely no reason at all she shouldn't be allowed to go surfing. A perfect sport for this nonsense. Constant plunging in saltwater and automatic social distancing. Hell even in the article there is a mention about healthcare facilites starting taking covid patients to the beach. Her rights shouldnt be preempted by bureaucrats that throw out blanket policies/prohibitions just to make it easier on them to enforce
