Agreed, we should be pulling out, not shipping in.

Too bad the American political establishment loves dead American soldiers and wasted taxpayer dollars.

100% agree. Get our people out and go. No good reason to stay, it’s been long enough.

CNN's former assistant to the acting assistant director of Middle East fandom things we don't have enough there and there will be a war with Iran and we will need to bring back the draft(he actually said that one). The comedy and bs on that channel is still going strong.

You don't think they'll grow to a bigger threat without our thumb on them? I suspect they would. Then we'd have to deal with larger consequences like with North Korea.

Agreed and after we leave, we should just keep selling arms to the sunnis and encourage Russia to sell arms to the shiites, then Putin and Trump should skype each other every so often, take vodka shots with Budweiser chasers and kick back and share videos of the islamic savages killing and weakening each other,

Middle East intervention is batting .000 so what we should do is ignore them. If American blood is shed on American soil, make sure the leaders of the responsible country/group meet Allah.

You can't possibly know that. You can't know what would have happened with no intervention.

It’s BEYOND time to get out of there. Literally everything we touch explodes in our face. Slowly back away and let them kill themselves all they want. We have our own oil now.

And neither can you but his numbers are accurate from all measurable perspectives.

This is not just the US though it is the same for the UK, the USSR, Greece, Rome and everyone else who has tried.

Over a the centuries you would have think it penetrated even some of the thicker skulls but apparently not.

I know I don't know. That's why I'm not so strident in my position. Suggesting we're batting .000 though, is not accurate. Could be .100 or could be .406 or .600. We don't know. It is not nearly as low as the metaphorical average of, say, the Vietnam disaster.

Nope .000 is 1.000 accurate, you dont get to claim had you seen a fastball you would have gotten a hit and adjust the average.

The consequence of never having to worry about them?

It can't be .000, can't. That's being stubborn and wanting to win an argument on the internet.

I know what I don't know. Too many armchair QBs don't.
