I do not believe your threads.

they all involve stories of what your friends say to you.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts."

All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution

If this is true, which I doubt, I imagine it was intended to be more than a little tongue in cheek.

My threads are real. Why would I waste time writing this?

My friend, a guy told me this this morning. We had breakfast at a diner.

I was offended, but I was strong enough to continue eating with them.

We were arguing about the role of Jesus in society.

Is your relationship with your friends in NJ a matter of political importance?

I brought up how the lack of respect for Jesus' teachings led to a lack of respect for society today.

Get out of here with your Jesus

Hummm? Believe that's what Marilyn Monroe told Billy Graham when he felt drawn to witness to her about Jesus. God is kind and merciful, but he is not mocked.

Reminds me of a tragic story I heard once about a wayward prodigal daughter and a pious mother. True story. This young woman was living a very reckless and sinful life. Hanging out with the wrong crowd to the great sorrow of her pious mother. The mother pleaded with her daughter to repent and change her life but the daughter ignored her mothers plea.

One day a carload of her friends came by in a fancy convertible (with the top down naturally) to pick up the young woman. The daughter jumped in last empty place in the back seat of the convertible. The poor mother pleaded with the girl not to leave but she wouldn't listen. So as the car was about to pull away the poor mother grabbed her daughters arm and said tearfully, "Go with God my child". The daughter chuckled, looked at her mother and said, "Well he (God) can't come with me can he? As you can see there is no more room for him". The car full of laughing and carefree young people drove off.

Later that day the pious mother received the tragic news. Her daughter was killed in a auto accident. You see that very afternoon the driver of the convertible lost control of the car while traveling at a high rate of speed. All the occupants (including the prodigal daughter) were killed as the vehicle tumbled end over end.

So pray for those souls who reject God. Who knows you just might stay the hand of God's wrath.

Moral of the story? Don't kick God out of your life. Always leave the door to your heart open to Him.

Good day!

The left, and especially millenials who embrace the rejection of morality and structure, is a cancer to a productive and just society.

Don't worry about it. Christ will reward the faithful and judge the faithless.
