I have heard rumors and strong opinions on Rick Jackson, and he is certainly slinging mud at Burt Jones. Love to hear thoughts from the Board.

Whoever it is should be able to beat Keisha Lance Bottoms who was so bad the libs in the city wouldn't even vote to re-elect her so she did not even run for re-election which in the city of Atlanta is unprecedented and hasn't happened in something like 70 years. Even Bill Campbell was reelected for a second term.

KLB is basically a Kamala Harris clone who is where she is not based on any accomplishment but because of the color of her skin and gender via DEI policies. I can't stress how bad this woman was for the city of Atlanta that had made great progress under Shirley Franklin and Kaseem Reed before her. It took her all of 3 years to destroy everything they were able to accomplish.

I'm TOTALLY with you on that - living in ATL - so it feels like R winner takes the Mansion. There is lots of acrimony between Rs so trying to understand.

I'm leaning Jones, just because I feel like Jackson may have some skeletons hidden somewhere, and he seems like he's the type that in his business life would be pretty wishy washy on beliefs just to chase the $$$.

Based on her years as mayor of Atlanta KLB shouldn't have a chance, but there's going to be a ton of outside money and big names out on the campaign trail with her.

It was telling that during the primary her vote % was directly correlated to the distance from Atlanta. However, the lefties in town will overlook all of her issues because party over person.

Jones here as well. Besides differences on the issues, Jackson gives serious slimy TV preacher vibes.

If you like rinos then Jackson is your guy. He’s responsible for 25% of doctors being foreign and a huge percentage of nurses as well

Jones voter here, for sure. Jackson trips every Spidey sense possible. He's a snake who's been successful at selling his own oil.

He talks a great game, definitely saying all the right words, but the army of GA swamp lifers like Chris Carr coming out to back him instead of Trump-endorsed Burt Jones speaks volumes to me.

Jackson has leaned into his supporting Brian Kemp of late, and that's another strike in my book. The only ones of the turncoats who sold out GA in 2020 who hasn't backed Jackson at this point are Raffensperger and Gabe Sterling.

Jackson loves to paint himself as an outsider who's "like Trump", yet he doesn't carry Trump's endorsement. That doesn't stop him from positioning all of his marketing materials to imply otherwise.

I’m switching from Jackson to Jones in the runoff. In retrospect, it was a poor decision to vote Jackson.

Trump-endorsed

Trump's record here in actual elections (not primaries) is abysmal. Elections are what matter because that is who actually takes office to govern. Trump backed candidates have been swept in two senate elections and the last governor race as well.

Could results in recent elections have been more accurately attributed to "RINO moles" other compromised within campaigns, or worse serious election fraud? I just don't believe Ga is purple.

And why do you think that is? Why did Tulsi spearhead an investigation in Fulton county?

Trump is likely staying away from campaigning or giving strong endorsements, as it’s not usually a winning strategy in the state. See Hershel. See the Perdue primary challenge.

This is who Trump backed:

Kelly Loeffler
Herschel Walker
David Perdue

Bad candidates that Trump handpicked is why they lost not Fulton County. Trumps record here in Georgia in general elections isn't great and his handpicked primary selections have been bad on some occasions as well (Jody Hice, John Gordon)

General elections are what matter not primaries. Trump has been a total failure in general elections here in Georgia.

I voted for Carr in the primaries.
Concerned about both dudes in runoff, but come November it no longer matters. R
