Cokie Roberts never pretended to be a conservative. Far from it. One of my earliest red pills was watching the news the morning after the 1994 mid-terms, where the GOP took back Congress for the first time in decades. Cokie Roberts almost broke into tears, and not tears of joy. That was also the day that Peter Jennings lectured the voters, telling us "Voters threw a temper tantrum yesterday".
That election was the one that taught me, once and for all, that we don't have a press. We have a Democratic Party PR machine.
