Yep. Exact same thing that I was thinking as I read the OP.

The same people who proclaim to be against capitalism are also materialistic as frick.
What they mean is “I want the newest shite every day but I don’t want to pay for it.”

people are way more open to socialism.
They should surrender their money first.
Get some experience with socialism, give all of your paycheck
I remember watching a video where they were interviewing college kids with socialist questions. Most of them were completely all in.
Then the interviewer asked "Would you give 30% of your GPA to the struggling students here at the school?"
100% of them responded with some version of "Oh hell no!”
It has to cost them something before they realize that socialism is not what their professors, social media, and the internet are teaching.

No shite. Parents are too lazy to teach them and liberal teachers tell them only socialism is good.
Same people who constantly say gays are denied civil rights and all conservatives are nazis. It's taught and learned behavior.

Maybe the truth is that Gen Z is not voting, and those that are, are shifting towards the right.
Not scary.

In 2008 the national debt was $10 trillion. We’ve added $30 trillion in national debt over the short lifetime of Gen Z.
1. Is our national infrastructure in better shape than 2008?
2. Is the middle class in better financial shape than it was in 2008?
3. Is there more social mobility for the lower class today than in 2008?
This is a predictable response from a generation that has seen the public coffers raided and wealth concentrated at the top.

Blame their parents and schools.

The part about Democratic Socialism that’s retarded isn’t the socialism part, it’s the democratic part.
Posted on 8/21/26 at 12:46 pm to Jbird
Capitalism is a loaded term with varying and competing definitions. If you asked them if they support the “free market” or “free market enterprise”, you’ll likely get different results.

Wait….fatass, lazy, Pokemon, social work majors that can’t work a 8-5 job want to tear down 250 year old America that they had no hand in building so that they can finally play girl boss?
How about GFY

Lol....we just came out of an administration that had almost the highest inflation in history....but sure blame it on Trump, even though inflation under his term is averaging in the 3s.
If anyone would vote for absolute communism, which is exactly what the dem party is now, just because of high prices...that should let you know the intelligence level of that generation.

Think it's well known that Gen Z is pretty much retarded.
People who supported communism were retarded because, while it sounded good in theory, wherever it was tried it led to bad outcomes.
If capitalism as it is actually practiced in the US gives young people a raw deal, they're going to question it no matter how much you screech at them about how great it is in theory or make or watch "clever" youtube videos about how dumb they are.
Right now, rich people are doing great, old people are doing pretty well, and lots and lots of young people don't have realistic paths to a good job, a house, and a family. If the socialists offer solutions and the capitalists say "stop complaining retards," guess who is going to win with young people.

They haven't seen shite.
They get their news from Instagram.
They don't vote.
None of them know what's going on in America, much less the world.
