The Dems legit said high gas prices to pay for Ukraine, seriously frick them all. Biden and his bulshit rise gas by 2.50
Yeah, so one of the other things Trump did to lower prices was to repeal fuel economy regulations. These regulations increase the cost of building cars considerably. Joe Biden immediately repealed his repeal upon taking office.
Other administrations, even Republican ones, actually regulate the price of fuel upwards. All Trump really has to do to lower prices is do away with their dumb frick regulations they impose and flood the market with oil.

Opening acreage is great but takes many years from discovery to production offshore.. onshore presidents can only impact federal land.. lots of resource plays are on private or state land..we have proven undeveloped location in many areas that are under existing leases we have purchased and waiting for right economics. and fwiw rig count today is lower than it was a year ago.. I think it went up a little more this month so may be almost the same as it was in Biden..
Keystone was already operational. The stuff you’re talking about was an extension.. and bringing in Canadian oil to our refineries. Which I believe was headed out of country.. refineries produce different products
He actually claimed he was going to opec to convince them to Stop over production because they had driven down the price of oil and killing our drilling a activity.. ( which they certainly had done).. . opec plus wanted to get the price down to drive small US operators out of business since Saudi was losing so much market capitalization.. then covid hit and at one point the price oil went negative.. companies were paying tankers to store and hold the product..
Also there is not oil and reservoir quality production just everywhere..
It is a global economics driven product .

Probaly, but people need to understand, the president has little to no influence on fuel prices.

He pressured Saudi Arabia and Russia to deescalate an oil price war which stabilized the price of oil at around 50 bucks per barrel.
Umm…SA and Russia’s price war was over production and cause oil prices to fall, prior to the COVID price crash. Had he “de-escalated” the spat between them two, that would have caused oil (and gasoline) prices to stop falling temporarily.

during Trump's first term I watched gas fall to its lowest price since I began driving in 1996
President Trump definitely encourage more domestic drilling and production, and the bottomed out gasoline prices in 2020 were also caused by the COVID shutdowns. Anyone who thinks Trump was the sole reason the national average reached as low as it did April-July 2020 is either brainwashed or ignorant.

Remember the stickers that people put on the gas hydrants “you can thank Biden for this” when the price of gas was going through the roof. We need some of those sticker for Trump to remind people of where we are now comparatively. Can’t wait for legacy media as they only report negative of Trump.

Some of them will attribute it to Joe Biden and the rest of them will say that the president cannot affect the price of gasoline. Why?
The IEA released a report in January 2025, before Trump was even sworn in, predicting this for 2025 and 2026.
I posted it here back then, although i don't know why I bothered.
The falling gas prices have nothing to do with Biden, very little to do with Trump, and would have happened no matter who had been elected POTUS, with a difference of maybe 10%. Trump's policies might have made that much difference.

Trump could drive gas prices all the way down to zero
Except that he couldn't.

Because they're fricking retarded.
There are definitely some fricking retards around here. I notice they only show up in mirrors, though. I'll bet if you went and looked into the nearest mirror, you'd see one of them.

It would be a good campaign strategy.
It wouldn't be the truth, but who cares about that in a campaign?
Certainly not Donald "I'm going to drain the swamp" Trump.

What specifically did Trump do to lower prices in either of his terms?
He undid some of the crap of your fellow ilklings.
From destroying healthy chickens to allowing green energy scams and allowing 25 million unvetted illegals into the country, Trump has a lot to unravel in 3 more years.

“From destroying healthy chickens”
So now the price of oil is driven by the health of chickens…
Try to stay on topic

I need some stickers for Trump too.
Affordability, health insurance, losing jobs reports, etc = He did that

It probably used to be somewhat true back before the left started to actively undermine the oil and gas industry to push “clean energy”.

Yeah, nothing Biden did or said affected gas prices. That’s why gas was $5 then and is $2.30 now, all by chance.
December 2024: Averages were around $3.04 - $3.18, slightly higher than the previous year and hovering near the $3 mark.
December 2025 (Today): Averages have fallen to about $2.94, marking the lowest prices in four years for the holiday season.
Ya'll just pull stuff out of your arse.
