I kind of addressed everything you are brining up, Re: his notoriety.

Have you ever seen a statewide poll on "approval" for another sitting member of congress, though? McCarthy, Pelosi, Paul Ryan, anyone...? Don't you wonder, even just a little bit, why someone thought you needed to see one now for this guy?

That's the only thing that might make sense, I guess. Be interesting to know if it was couched as such.

Not that I believe these numbers but let’s say they’re accurate. That would mean he’s lost support of (I’m spitballing here) roughly 2/3 of the republicans across the state. That seems extreme. It would also kill his chances at the governorship. It would also show that MAGA has bled a lot of support in Florida. I don’t find any of that believable at the numbers being reported here. A slight drop or gain and I could buy into it but this isn’t that.

I guess each down vote will confirm Gaetz's unpopularity.

Nah. You need two more for all of the ronbot cult members to have checked in.

He's said to be eying the governors seat so maybe that's why it was done.

Gaetz is an extremely famous Republican Rep in what is now a deep red state thanks to the Governor.

Do you think, 100%, that FL would be deep red as it is today, and Desantis would have become governor if Trump hadn't come down the escalator in 2015?

No wrong answer. I like understanding proximate cause, so just wondering.

I bet a majority of people in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Beach feel a lot different about Gaetz than his constituents in Pensacola and Ft. Walton Beach. So what?

Gaetz is in one of the reddest districts in the nation and will cruise to re-election.

This poll is absolute garbage and not reflective of any realistic perspective of his popularity in FL much less his district.

He’s hinted at running for Governor after Ron. It’s relevant

Got it. You are like the third person to bring it up. I told the first guy, that possibly makes sense, but was wondering if that was the purpose of this poll and if it was somehow couched as such.

Sorry. I didn’t read the rest of the thread.

Polling is shite these days anyway. Gaetz is liked in Escambia from what I’ve seen and heard.

Who here would put themselves in the reported 79%? This isn't rhetorical. What brand of Republicans oppose Gaetz?

I'm definitely in the 21%.

FunBunch? rmnldr? IBFreeman? DisplacedBuckeye? Flats? Do you guys oppose Gaetz?

YA Tittle, Basstiger?
