Melenchon supporters voting en masse for Macron epitomizes the hypocrisy of left-wing globalists. These people wail about the inherent evils of the global financial order, yet support the candidate who reinforces it instead of the one who challenges it.

Note to Trump
Putin is a bad running mate

Stable genius needs to dump him like Pence

God you are a brainwashed stooge. Al Jazeera and the Daily Telegraph in the UK have articles out today showing that the French government, under the leadership of Macron, has evaded the Russian arms embargo since it began in 2014.

I’m genuinely impressed that you managed to type that with Zelensky’s cock in your hand.

What came first?

The 2020 US Presidential election or the French surrender to Globalism?

America surrendered as well, recently. Getting vaccines because they were told.

Macron reelected

I am not a fan of Macron but did anyone really think that LePen was actually going to win?

I didn't think she'd win, but I didn't think Macron would get anywhere near 59% of the vote. I thought it would be 52-48 or something like that. The high number of abstentions from first-round voters really hurt Le Pen. I thought far more economic leftists would hold their nose and vote for Le Pen based on her economic platform, but it looks like a good chunk of the electorate just sat this round out.

Good. The French never learn and should get what they deserve by becoming minorities in their own land .

Or, that isn’t the dichotomy at all.

Why? That was very predictable.

Because I believed much of Jean Luc Melenchon's base would hold their nose and vote for Le Pen, even if they didn't admit it openly. Melenchon is anti-EU, anti-NATO, opposes any austerity measures whatsoever when it comes to the French welfare state, opposed vaccine mandates, and has the support of trade unions and French communists. They have more in common with Le Pen than Macron, save for the immigration issues and multiculturalism.

True. But some of us are like the modern day French resistance.

And that is literally way left of JFK and any other remaining and sane US Democrat.

Right of Stalin and left of JFK = a little to the right of Stalin and still way left of JFK.

France is allegedly pretty good with voter ID and paper ballots with little if any mail in balloting. I am not an expert though. That is just what I have read and heard.

Profound.

Cheers.

Edit- disagree, fine. But most juvenile to harp on "you're new here, haw haw haw".
