I think it was either Jefferson or Patrick Henry with the line about not trading 1 tyrant 3,000 miles away for 3,000 tyrants 1 mile away.
Yes, and that quote has significant meaning. Especially in light of what this country has become!
It was, however, neither. Or at least, not originally. It was originally said by Byles Mather.
Tho, most of the founders were well read, scholarly men. So they may have read it, as Mather was a member of British Clergy.
Yeah, I had to look it up. It was very, very interesting.
Thanks so much for prompting me to look into that phrase's origins!

See, this is part of the problem. An agency that’s not constitutionally mandated is seen as a “sacred institution”. It’s not.
FBI proved how “sacred” they were the last few years including spying on Trump. There is nothing sacred about the FBI.

Any agent that stuck around after 2020 is a traitor and should be treated as one.

I’m sorry but there’s only 3 “sacred institutions” and the fbi ain’t one of them.

We have homeland security and AI now, help me to understand why we need the f-b-i again?

How can something that's only been around since 1908 be a "sacred institution?" Is the IRS?

Has Patel been confirmed?

Then Patel didn’t go back on his word and sounds like they need to hurry up and confirm him

all the rats are scurrying. i've said it several times on here. if Trump did nothing else in his two presidencies, he exposed the bought and paid for media and the RINOs.

1950 might be far enough back.

Fck Fox and especially Fck Hannity. I think people forget that Paul Ryan pretty much helps run Faux News.
