why else would she cancel it, if there was a security threat to the president she would be out on the street giving out flyers promoting it.

They are botching it, but so far nothing has moved the needle enough to force either side off their position.
My prediction - the SOTU with another caravan in route with two more forming could move the needle. At least justify the National Emergency.
