Here's a good link. Read up

From your link:
"Walls are public relations exercises where governments demonstrate that they are actually doing something," Vallet said. "They usually create more problems."

"Finland: About 450 miles of barbed wire fencing prevent reindeer from wandering across the border into Russia."

Seems in no way relevant

"France: The mile-long wall at Calais was funded by the United Kingdom to prevent migrants from accessing the Channel Tunnel that connects Britain to continental Europe."

1 mile. Ok

Should I keep going?

Oh yeah, I clearly remember how much Biden and the other Dems were totally against it right?

They certainly didn't initiate it.

Convenient Conservative is a term I’ve used for years.

Let me ask you a question:

If Trump declares a national emergency and uses military funds to build the wall, how are Democrats in Congress going to stop him? Republicans control the Senate. Do you actually think they are going to pass a cease and desist order? And if someone does sue and attempts to stop it, who controls the Supreme Court?

Trump can declare a national emergency all he wants but it doesn't change that “[n]o Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law.”

So unless you think that a conservative court will rule in a radically activist manner.. idk what to tell you except that you are wrong

National security is one of the main functions of government. The southern border migration is a crisis with more far reaching consequences than you can imagine.

And prior to Donald Trump becoming president it was already on a trend where illegal immigration was going down and was one of the better points in 20 years. To act like it's suddenly more of a crisis than it ever was before is just ludicrous.

I don’t remember there ever being giant convoys of illegal immigrants from multiple countries headed towards the border in an attempt to storm the gates

Its a crisis cause its been talked about in DC with nothing done for decades.
Its a crisis cause if we can't get a handle on illegal crossings now then when?
Its a crisis Ebb to those whose business has been ruined or effected by cheap illegal work. Its a crisis to those who's daughter was killed by a drunk illegal. Its a crisis to those who see no end in site for illegal immigration and its cost going forward.

Illegal immigration is a boon to those who's job it is to keep inflation low. A boon to those who want their future votes. A boon to those dealing in illegal narcotics, body parts, the sex trade and cheap labor.

Boarder security for ones country is not one definition to argue over, not a endless debate on who or how its paid for or even how its built. It is simply using everything at our disposal to control and monitor goods and people crossing our borders for the safety and benefit of all our citizens.

If by "storm the gates" you mean "seek asylum" then sure. Secondly, the numbers speak for themselves. Less illegal immigration in the last 20 years. It's been on a downward trend. Stop listening to your fear Monger overlords and simply Google and look up information.
