I mean, streaming reruns and ordering things from StuffMart.com is nice and all, but I just can't shake the feeling that the platform it gives to idiocy, outrage, and manipulation is just not worth it.

Yeah, yeah, I know. "If people were just better" is a nice thought, but they're not. It's kind of like saying socialism would work great if people would just forego their selfishness.

Old man comments will rain down, but life sure seemed a lot less angry back then.

Too much good comes from the internet to want it completely gone. I would delete social media platforms in a heartbeat, though.

Yes and I'd do it today and never look back.

I would say no, but only because of the obvious time saving measures it brings.

I dont want a world where I have to balance a checkbook, not have shite delivered to me 2 days later, etc.

I wish social media never came about however.

Man, it would be very difficult. World without smartphones would be perhaps even harder but possibly more beneficial.

World without social media would be most beneficial.

Pre-internet, people couldn't relatively anonymously slander and talk crap about you from the safety of a keyboard; they had to do it to your face. So in that regard, the answer is "yes", I would love to return to those days.

The problem is that now you expect those things. What if it were never in your consideration in the first place?

Yes. Sometimes it’s better to just not know.

Absolutely NOT.

My favorite thing in the world is learning new things, and it is just SO MUCH easier to do so when you have access to the sum of human knowledge on almost any topic at your fingertips on a second's notice.

But social media can DIAF.

Yes, I’d love to go back to pre-internet days. And a big satellite dish in the backyard.
