A big reason for this is their fear of media attacks. Trump was the first GOP candidate to tell the media to 'just frick off'. They retaliated with daily massive smears. I did a study of NYT articles during Trump vs. Hillary campaign. The average count was 6 anti-Trump articles per day. They were divided between front page news and opinion pages. But the language on front page articles was totally opinion.
GOP candidates are afraid of that so they try to be 'reasonable'. Desantis saw what Trump did and he has copied the style. He realizes that ripping the media will not harm him because the public hates the media. Most candidates don't have that kind of confidence.

right now, we don't have the luxury of having a single real representative. for that reason, I absolutely will vote for Trump. we live in mad times. we have a President and a BUNCH of nominees who dgaf about our country and will do as they're told.
it's a shame what we have become due to corruption on both sides of the political spectrum and we just keep re-electing the sammmmmmmmme people.

The GOPe is naught but the controlled opposition wing of the Establishment Uniparty. The dims (Action Wing of Establishment Uniparty) tell the GOPe what to do, and the GOPe obeys.

Voting red = voting for worthless (call it -2 to -5)
Voting blue = voting for evil/insanity (call it -5 to -10)

I don't know about being pussies, but they do tend to hold themselves to a standard of decency and the rule of law, whereas the democrats don't, because their ends justify their means. One of Alinsky's rules for radicals is to hold the opposition to their own standards, and the left has the republicans dead to rites on that one.
