You can say anything you want that stops short of slander, or inciting violence, etc. But you aren't free from the consequences of your speech.

Pretty astute observations and remarks there. Of course if you’re having to explain that to another “grown” individual then you’re probably wasting your time in the first place. Same scenario on this board with the whole “you’re not allowed to negatively criticize Trump.” The people who say that ironically fail to grasp that, while yes, it’s perfectly acceptable to negatively criticize Trump whenever and however one wishes, on the exact same side of the coin it’s also perfectly acceptable for someone else to criticize the criticism.
Some folks believe, many folks even, jump out there with quite strong opinions and criticisms and observations, and so confidently and proudly, yet very, very obviously have only thought it out halfway, if that.
Anyhoo, I suppose I had best put the kibosh on myself here before I really get off in the weeds. And nobody needs to see that happen. There could be children around. Lol

was the threat. The threat was neutralized.
