I don't agree with his beliefs but I will damn well applaud him for trying to find the truth himself. People need to be more proactive about verifying truths on their own.

Huh. Apparently Newton's laws were derived from ancient Hebrew holy texts.

I hate to defend a flat-earther here but the guy is right. Science is a process, methodology to test and learn. Building something isn't science. It is the application of formulas/physics. That is engineering.

What if his rocket goes awry, over-shoots the edge of the Earth, and crashes into the giant turtle's head, killing it?!?

That could have devastating consequences for our very existence!

1800' - Wow! He should be able to get a good pic of the flat earth disproving the orb shape purported by Hollywood and the government from that vast height.

If only he had thought to hike up a local mountain near his home, he could have saved a lot of money.

No shite, but these idiots are just going backwards and challenging things like gravity and whether or not the world is round.

Everything should constantly be challenged. I got no problem with people thinking the earth is flat until they see proof that convinces them. It isn't hurting anyone.

Gravity is an interesting topic as that is a bit controversial. There is much we don't know about it and how it works. The original theories were based on mass but those have been thrown out the window now. It would be nice to get that one ironed out sometime soon.

Why not just take a hot air balloon tour?

Or hell just launch a weather balloon with a go pro. I've launched a few in school and they went over 100,000 feet

I'm about 90% sure it's all some giant 4chan type troll.

10% just a bunch of people with mental disorders who aren't taking their meds.
